Hi, I’m Nicole — founder of Urban Artisan.
California born, Oregon raised, and a former educator turned creative entrepreneur.
What began in 2013 as BEAN, a small creative outlet and design studio, started with handmade home décor crafted in my garage for family and friends. Over time, that passion evolved into a growing business, an online storefront, and the foundation for something much bigger.
Today, Urban Artisan is a creative studio and experiential brand dedicated to bringing people together through hands-on workshops, curated events, and immersive creative experiences—both in-studio and on location.
We specialize in:
- Hands-on creative workshops and private events
- Corporate experiences and team building activations
- Brand activations and pop-up creative experiences
- Creative business training, consulting, and studio development
- Custom laser-engraved merchandise for branding and gifting
At the core of everything I do is a lifelong love of teaching and creating. Urban Artisan was built to merge education and creativity in a way that feels accessible, inspiring, and community-driven—whether you’re here to create for fun or grow something of your own.
When I’m not in the studio, I’m with my husband and co-owner, our two kids, and our very loved fur babies.

What began in 2013 as BEAN, a small sign shop and personal creative outlet, quickly evolved into something bigger. What started as a few home décor pieces made in my garage for family and friends turned into a full-time business with an online storefront and a dream of something more.
Fast forward to today — Urban Artisan is the next chapter in that dream: a hands-on creative studio that brings people together through unique workshops, meaningful experiences, and community connection.

When I’m not covered in paint or planning the next big idea, I’m spending time with my incredible husband (and co-owner), our two amazing kids, and our sweet fur babies.
